Situated in the beautifully restored Rolex Building in Beverly Hills, the California office for BMI Music features unique applications of lighting pendants and lighting details that amplify the sinuous lines of the interior design. The feature stair, reception, lounge, boardroom and meeting spaces were treated with architecturally integrated lighting solutions that articulate the layered materials and reinforce the spatial play.

Curvilinear lighting details underscore a central platform that is home to a grand piano and a springboard for a floating stair, and separate layers of sophisticated wall materials that lead the guests around the facility. Staccato dots and dashes of light reference musical notation above steps, while winding bands of light flow beneath open ceilings to signify continuous energy and motion. Fixtures carve in and out of dropped ceilings in a playful interaction, while concealed tape light reinforces the design geometries.
